Tattoo & Piercing Aftercare
Tattoo
Here at Third Dimension we recommend for the first 3 days 3 times a day, to wash the tattoo with unscented antibacterial soap and apply a thin layer of aquaphor. After the first 3 days we suggest switching to an unscented lotion just to keep the tattoo from drying out.
The healing process will take about 2 weeks to a month to heal fully. During this time we recommend no soaking, swimming, or sun to best protect your fresh tattoo. If you have any other questions on tattoo aftercare please call the shop.
Piercings
To take care of our piercings we always recommend using saline wound wash spray 2 times a day to keep your new jewelry clean. We also recommend to do sea salt soaks at night the mixture for this soak is 1tsp of sea salt (not iodized) and 8oz of distilled water. To soak the piecing take a shot glass fill it with the mixture and allow the piercing to soak for 10-15 minutes. If your piercing is unable to be soaked in a shot glass feel free to use a clean cotton pad to soak in the mixture, then apply to the area and change out when cold for a fresh pad.
For all piercing no touching, twisting, or moving the jewelry as this could irritate the piercing and cause further issues healing.
